About

Hello! I’m Yiovi - a smiley, clumsy, and fallible human being  : )

I am a cognitive psychologist, university lecturer, researcher, improviser, and applied improvisation practitioner based at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK.

My work integrates psychology, behaviour, play, experiential learning, and pedagogy. I am interested in how the principles of improvisational theatre can be effectively incorporated into higher education and healthcare training to cultivate psychological safety, emotional competence, and human-centred communication.

Whether I am teaching psychology, leading an applied improv workshop, or directing an improv show, my goal is the same: to create evidence-informed, playful learning environments where people can develop, thrive... and have great fun along the way  : )
